Caper!

So it turns out the the lady that let me stay with her has a name. She’s called “Mom” and the guy that used to talk to me through the walls at Mom’s place? Well, he’s called “Dad” apparently.

Anyways, I woke up from my nap after the event to more people than I have ever seen, every one of ’em staring me in the face with this crazy grin. Dad was fielding questions from everyone and he seemed to be proud of himself. He was doing a good job of keeping me cozy warm though, so I let him have his moment.

After what seemed like a lifetime, I decided it would be a good idea if we went and saw Mom. Since nobody official was taking my request seriously, Dad and I just went for it on our own. As the caper got under way, Grandma B (Mom’s mom, I have since found out) joined the posse.

Some ladies were pretty excited to see us when we burst into the recovery ward looking for Mom. They said they don’t often get unannounced visitors on their floor very often, so I was happy we could brighten there day with our surprise appearance.

We found Mom and chatted for a few minutes. Then one of the nice ladies let us know that we should really get back upstairs. I told her “OK, but only because you asked so nicely.”

The Event

So I’m minding my business, floating around in perfect darkness… warm, snug and happy. I’m living life to the fullest and I’ve got it made. I don’t have to lift a finger and I’ve got 24 hour room service on tap.

All of a sudden there’s poking, prodding and general rough housing going on. Next thing I know, I am freezing cold, angry and blasted by brightness. My arms and legs are flailing around ’cause there’s way to much room to move.

There were so many people around all of a sudden, but I recognized a couple voices in the room. The lady that let me crash at her place was there. So was the guy who used to talk to me through the walls all the time.

The rest is a blur, but I do remember things got all warm and cozy again after a while and crashed out for a nap.

Mom has nice pillows

A short time after the caper, the nice ladies let Mom finally come up and hang out with Dad and I. That was nice, and I was happy that she was there finally.

One thing I quickly learned is mom has some killer pillows to lay on. So warm and cozy… I could sleep there for hours. Oh, and another thing: Mom and Dad must have had something in their eyes, because they kept having to wipe them.

First

So I’m telling Mom and Dad as clearly as I can that I’m not comfortable, but the two of them don’t speak a word of newborn. It’s not going well, but eventually they eventually get the idea to ask one of the nice ladies if they can figure out what I am trying to get across.
